Before I started receiving any treatments, my Morton’s neuroma had forced me to make some changes to my lifestyle. As a 15-year-old high school athlete, I was constantly on the move. I spent most of my day walking or running and didn’t have time to deal with the pain of a Morton’s neuroma, let alone a possible surgery to remove it. I experienced tingling, burning, and numbness almost daily and a constant “clicking” in my right foot. I play competitive soccer, so my foot was under constant stress. Throughout practices and games, I would have to step out and take off my shoe to massage my foot until the pain went away. At times the pain was so unbearable that I couldn’t even walk. Prior to laser treatment, my Athletic Trainer suggested using a donut to take some of the pressure off the neuroma, but I felt no change. Going into my appointment with Dr. Bocian, I believed surgery was my only option, but I’m glad I was able to avoid it! During the treatments, I was still able to play and continue my daily routines as tolerated, without having to make any drastic lifestyle changes.

I’m currently a year removed from my last laser treatment and I feel 100%. I don’t remember the last time I felt any pain due to the neuroma. The laser treatment has restored my ability to play soccer, and without it I’m not sure I would’ve been able to have the great season I did! I’m extremely satisfied with the results and I would recommend this treatment to anyone that’s struggling with a Morton’s neuroma!
